A new investment product was added early in 2020 to the range of innovative options for asset management offered by Piraeus Bank’s Private Banking.

The Piraeus Private Banking World Sustainability Balanced Fund is the first Private Label Environmental Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) Fund, which Piraeus Private Banking created in collaboration with Piraeus Asset Management MFMC.

The Mutual Fund invests in companies around the world that are ready to respond to the challenges of the future, implementing actions such as reduction in energy costs and management of environmental risks. These companies apply the principles of sustainability and meet specific environmental, social and corporate governance criteria. As a rule, they have higher credit ratings, lower capital costs, stronger financial data and potentially greater return on capital.

The new ESG Fund is designed for Private Banking clients who want to combine the financial goals of their investments with a commitment to social and environmental values.

For Piraeus Asset Management, joining the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) initiative is the natural progression of a process of recognizing ESG criteria that began in 2015. Choosing investments through the adoption of the Principles for Responsible Investment is part of the company’s strategic choice to support modern initiatives for sustainable development.

In this context, it created the “Piraeus Mixed ESG Responsible Investing Fund of Funds” a Mutual Fund, that implements the new trend in ESG investing, according to which environmental, social and corporate governance criteria are taken into account.

The Piraeus Mixed ESG Responsible Investing Fund of Funds is designed for investors with a medium-term investment horizon who want to combine the financial goals of their investments with a commitment to social and environmental and ethical concerns, such as social justice, economic growth and a healthy environment.
